Hi Reader, Last summer, I joined a 3-month sacred feminine mastermind for entrepreneurs and professional women. Right after July 4th weekend, I drove up to Massachusetts for our 5-day in person retreat ready to unlock the next level of business and get clear on my next steps in life (I had just moved back to the US after living in Ecuador for 3 years). During one of the afternoon sessions, the facilitator, Sarah, said to me: “Just put your program [Sacred CEO] down while you’re here. Imagine the program doesn't exist anymore. What else would you do? If you had a million dollars and money wasn’t a stress, how would you spend your time?” To tell you the truth, it was really hard to hear Sarah ask this 🤯 and I resisted even thinking about the possibility of not running Sacred CEO. But over the next few days in the retreat, I got really honest with myself... And what came through surprised me: I’d do nothing for a while. I’d travel. I’d rest. I’d chill. Although I went into that retreat with a very clear agenda of what I wanted to achieve, life had a different plan in store, and I walked out of those 5 days with the seeds of my sabbatical. It wasn't immediate, but I began slipping quietly into sabbatical mode. No big announcement, no clear roadmap, just a deep knowing that I needed to step back, pause, listen, and trust life. I deleted Instagram off my phone, stopped sending newsletters, made immediate shifts in my team structure and businesses to truly make space for me. I'm excited to finally share whats really unfolded during this past year: the insights, the challenges, the lessons, the adventures and what's next. 👭 I did what energizes me most: I had a real conversation with one of my best friends, Emily, sharing all about my sabbatical year and recorded it to share with you. 🎧: Click here to listen to My Sabbatical Year. Thanks for letting me share this part of my journey with you. If it sparks anything in you, I'd love to hear. Just click reply. I read every single email. Big hugs, Jess 👉 Grab your headphones and come on the journey with me into what my sabbatical year has really been about - my why, the challenges, the lessons, the insights and what's next. (Quick reminder: enrollment for Sacred CEO closes tonight at 7pm EST! If you're planning to join us, click here to enroll) ~ Hey Reader, I'm going to be honest... I'm not that into politics and have not been following the upcoming election closely. But on Thursday morning, someone's Instagram Story about the debates caught my attention and I found myself 20 minutes down the Instagram rabbit hole catching up on the election. I saw that RFK wasn't participating in the CNN debate but was...
(Click here to listen to today's email on the NBP pop up podcast 3:21 🎧) Hey Reader, Besides our parents, siblings and those rare childhood friends who stay in our lives for the long haul -- two of our longest relationships are actually with work and money. Here's what I mean... Most people get their first job in high school (some earlier, some later) and continue working into their 60s, 70s, 80s (my grandma retired at 89 believe it or not!) and typically spend 40+ hours/week most week of the...
